Here are the files I modified folowing PCWs advices:

You probably need to edit SCALEs and VELOCITIes (see stepper_mm.ini) according to Your steppers. Also the homeswitsches are not configured yet (are in default state) because I don t need them yet.

I added the FILTER section to stepper_mm.ini (filters for importing pictures). You probably don t need, it is useful for importing pictures to G-Code.

Thanks for the reply melsoft ill check it out and try give it a go in emc. I havent used it yet so will be interesting running the plotter off linux

If you mean "where do the configuration files go"

They normally go in

home/linuxcnc/configs/

so if you open terminal (control alt t on ubuntu)

and type
cd linuxcnc/configs

you will be in the main configuration directory

if you type
ls

you should get a list of various subdirectories that contain hal
and ini files for different types of interface hardware and machines
