Cnc winch style foam cutter. work offset??? was created by mt92
Thanks to the help of some people on this forum I have been using my 4 axis foam cutter with success. I just purchased profili pro and it wants to start the cut in the front and have all X and A positive values. My home is set to the middle of the machines travel for X and A and and the bottom for Y,B. Is there a way to use a g55 without messing up the kinematics measurements? Or should I reset my X and A home to the front of the machines travel and remeasure for my kinematics?
Thanks
Mike

Just select G54, G55 etc, press the "touch off" button and tell LinuxCNC what you want to call that point (one axis at a time). There should be no problems.

Once the kins are right in the machine reference frame you can use any work origin you want.Is there a way to use a g55 without messing up the kinematics measurements?
