Errors when stopping program from pendant

Hello,

I have built my own pendant which is interfaced via a userspace component. When I press the "Stop" button the machine stops but it also produces an error:
can't do that (EMC_TRAJ_SET_TELEOP_ENABLE) in auto mode with the interpreter idle

The input from the pendant is netted straight onto the halui.program.stop pin.

What do I need to do to get rid of this error?

Thanks

Does this error happen all the time or only when pressing the button when not actually running?

Hi John,

I get the error only if I press stop when the machine is running. When the machine is stopped then there is no error.
Every now and again the error doesn't appear which makes me wonder if it is a timing issue, but I don't know enough about LinuxCNC's internal operations to know where to look.
