manual-toolchange-with-tool-length-switch
My Name is Luc from Luxembourg (Europe, my english is not the best but I hope you can understand me)
I'm new to this forum and come up with my first post with a problem.
Hope anyone can help me.
I'm working with a CNC milling Router for several month with LinuxCNC 2.5.2.
Now I'm trying to get the manual-toolchange-with-tool-length-Switch running under the 2.6.0 Master.
All seams to be fine. Measurements are ok, but the new tool length is not reported to the work peace Z axis?
Any idea what going wrong?
I'm sure you need more information's so I attached my machine.ini and .hal file
Would be great to find the solution.
Best regards an tnx in advanced. Luc -

Did you select the tool with Tn M6?
1.1. Touch Off
Using the Touch Off Screen in the AXIS interface you can update the tool table automatically.
Typical steps for updating the tool table:
After homing load a tool with Tn M6 where n is the tool number.
Move tool to an established point using a gauge or take a test cut and measure.
Click the "Touch Off" button in the Manual Control tab (or hit the End button on your keyboard).
Select Tool Table in the Coordinate System drop down box.
Enter the gauge or measured dimension and select OK.
The Tool Table will be changed with the correct Z length to make the DRO display the correct Z position and a G43 command will be issued so the new tool Z length will be in effect. Tool table touch off is only available when a tool is loaded with Tn M6.

Tnx for your fast answer.
Yes I change my tools with Tn M6.
But is the tool table not supposed to auto update it's self after G43 ?
Here my test program.

Everytime my program starts or continue after toolcheng, it sets the TLO back to 0.
With te tcdemo included in LinuxCNC it works fine?
