hm2_5i25.0:encoder0:qudrature count error, help!! was created by jlviloria
greetings to all.
In my lathe cinci, I have a problem. siemens servomotors with drivers and 6RB20
I began to feel a vibration in the X servomotors, checking I found the following:
when I check the voltages at the terminals without any control signal.
X axis
56 and 14 = 0.09VDC
13 = 55.1 and 2.06VDC
there is a slight movement with the cables connected and I get an alarm:
hm2/hm2_5I25: Encoder0: quadrature count error.
Z-axis
56 and 14 = 0
55.1 and 13 0
disconnect belt. servomotors X, the servomotors turn quickly, you can not stop with hand, disconnect the signal cable (56 and 14) and the motor stops but minimally tour, but this is normal to rotate something, and I had that conversation with the BigJohnT Andy and Peter.
What is not normal is that the motor send me a 0.09V signal via cable (56 and 14) when it should be 0V as in the Z axis first time I have this alarm: hm2/hm2_5I25: Encoder0: quadrature count mistake.
any help, advice is helpful.

If you only get an encoder error on channel 0 (X) I would disable the x axis
and check that the encoder is counting correctly (by hand cranking and measuring)
what are pins 55.1 and 13?
