I am new to using both linux and linuxcnc.
I have built several pieces of cnc equipment all being cartesian based and running mach3.
I have installed ubuntu 10.04 with linuxcnc from the live CD and i have been able to control one of my cartesian machines.
The log in name i made for the computer is cnc-controller. i don't always understand when people use just the generic locations for putting files and running commands.
I am currently trying to get a delta robot up and running.
I got the kinematics from kvarc.extra.hu/step/motor/emc/emckinematics.html
I have been reading the wiki on how to use kinematics but i am not understanding how to install and implement the kinematics.
I tried copying the deltakins.c to home/cnc-controller and running "sudo comp --install --cnc-controller deltakins.c"
it says that it compiled and installed, but i don't know how to get linuxcnc to use the kinematics.
Is this the right approach or and i completely missing something?
If someone could point me to a step by step on how to use kinematics in linuxcnc that would be very helpful, or explain what i am missing.
