Dis-regard, figured it out

On the other hand, if you used a lower ilowpass scale value (say 500)
it might take a couple years to overflow, and it seems likely you would
restart linuxCNC before then...

Looks like jepler has pushed a fix for the ilowpass comp
that allows it to wrap gracefully instead of sticking at 2^31-1

This should solve the issue regardless of what scale factor is used
