So I'm trying to do something funny indeed. Maybe there is a simpler way to do this, but here's the idea:
I'd like an axis that simply follows an encoder without throwing "following errors" when the encoder moves. I'd like to make an output turn on at a specific position, but i want the axis to be manually rotated and not controlled by CNC.
Would it be best to feed the encoder in as an MPG, then use a "simulated axis" whose command feeds into the axis feedback? Or is there a way to just turn off the following errors?
