Homing with index past home switch

Searching trough the topics , I have not found mention of this topic , looking at all the homing configs search for index pulse starts right after activating the home switch , you can only choose the direction .
How Fanuc machines are configured and mine is too, is that the machine rapids to the home switch activates it and slows down, continues and gets slowly past the switch , after getting of the switch it searches for index.
This way its constantly pushing the home switch on Z when going for the toolchange, but its inevitable , there is little room to move the home switch dog before end limit, and as the ballscrews are 10mm it will move the home at least 5-10mm from original position. on X and Y its not that big of a deal and could be moved but on Z it may mess up the toolchange position height that is needed.

Any suggestions?

Solved it for now by adding home offset in needed direction, it does the trick.
