Hi all. I ran through pncconf and set up the preliminary HAL and INI files for the machine. Once I opened the machine, I couldn't get the 2 Y axis motors to work together (I can jog them seperately). When I set up in pncconf, I selected Y1 as main Y, and Y2 as tandem Y2.

I've been searching for another thread covering this, and ran across one with direction on how to add it in to the HAL and INI. Thing is, they're already there as instructed.

I've attached the files, anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Pat

Do you have separate home switches on both Y ?
Yes you do as it seems from the hal.
But you do not have home_sequence there for each joint, so that will not home a dual axis.
HOME_SEQUENCE = -1
at the bottom of each Y axis joint

Thanks. That's the INI file or the HAL?

In the ini file both joints for the Y have to have the same -ve sequence number

Then you have to home all

I added the HOME_SEQUENCE = -1 to both of the Y axis joints. They do move at the same time in the same direction for homing, but they will not jog afterward. I get an error saying it can't jog because they're synchronized (attached screenshot and INI file). I have made no changes to the HAL file.

I knew it had to be something dumb I was leaving out. Homed the rest of the machine and it all works now. Thanks for the help!
