Configuration whb04b-6 / too few pulses of the handwheel

With the integration of the well-known hand wheel whb04b-6, the hal component (xhc-whb04b-6) seems to react too slowly or not correctly.

For the knobs this is inconspicuous, but during the normal rotation of the handwheel much too few impulses are transmitted (e.g. whb.axis.0.jog-counts).

Is there already a solution for this?

regards, Robert

Try a USB input with different colour (usually blue) if there is one, check the cable for signs of crimping or to much bending, USB ports go in pairs so there are always 2 of them on the same internal hub so avoid having MPG and a mouse or keyboard on the same hub, and finally check the scaling in hal if it is correctly set.

Many thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I have exchanged the USB ports without success. What exactly do you mean by the scaling in hal?

At the moment I see that the counter (e.g. whb.axis.0.jog-counts) does not count up as fast as I turn on the MPG.

The stepping speed seems to be limited to approximately 2Hz.
