Ganty sawmill

I want to retrofit an old 5 axis gantry sawmill and achieve functionality like this machine

What user interface can be be a good starting point ? qtdragon_hd ?
Non trivial features are cutting with disk and spindle finishing cuts in the corners or small radius cuts or waterjet
and optical recognition of slabs with camera (opencv)
Any suggestions ?

Yes i have 15.6'' 1080p touch monitor

Its always best to start with the Axis GUI until you get a working config and convert to other (more complicated) GUI's after you have  it working. QTdragon is nice but there are a lot of finer features for convenience that can get in the road for a beginner. I converted to it from an axis config though.
