Managed to copy the hyperloop manual after work. Hope it helps. Can you post some pics of your machine? I got all 3 axis working with a dummy + - 10v signal. 2 of my 3 working drives enable without having the enable pins connected. Just something else to look at. Will hopefully start testing with linuxcnc next week. Still havnt tested my spindle yet.... or clutches....or hydraulics.... or limits.... Oh man. Think i will finish in 2022.... Haha. Just realized, file size is 10mb. Cant attach here. I will grab an email to send it through to you.

Zenford was a factory in Melbourne Auz, that Karl Zeigler bought to start his machine tool buisness.

No real luck with my servo drives. Thought i had 3, but seems 1 is only moving in one direction. After spending so much time trying to nut them out, i think im going to cut my losses and get something else. I have 9 drives, and only 2 are running. In the docs i got with the machinen the previous owner seems to be chasing drives. Maybe they weren't very reliable. I would rather just get something i can be confident is going to work and be replaceable. Just sent an enquiry to mesa about 2 x 7i29. They are only listing 1 in stock, not sure if im able to get 2. Has anyone ran 7i29 with a 7i49 for resolvers instead of encoders?

I haven't used the 7i49 with the 7i29, but I do use a couple of machines with 8i20 drives and I am extremely happy with them.

The 7i29 store page doesn't seem to link to the manual, so here is a direct link.

A 5i24 with 2x7i29 on one header and 1x7i49 on the other would give you 4 axes and leave a header free for general IO (maybe a 7i44 and a 7i84). You would end up "wasting" the encoder inputs on the 7i29 and the analogue outputs on the 7i49, but I do the same on my machines and I am almost over it :-)

Thanks Andy. I also have 7i44 and 7i84, so that should work. Now just to let go of days in the shed working on the drives, and replace them..... I sure i will also get over it... One day.
