Keling 4030 Configuration was created by joelittiken
Hello,
I am currently trying to configure my CNC router and cannot get any movement out of the stepper motors. I am using a Keling C10 breakout board and 4030 drivers. They are set to 1/4 microsteps. The current variables I'm using are:
Motor steps per revolution: 200
Driver Microstepping: 4
Motor revolutions per inch: 10
Velocity: 10
Acceleration: 7
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Joe

is this whilst running stepconf or from with emc ?
check your enable signal from emc to the C10
even though your stepper drive enable is optional , the enable ( amplifier enable ) signal output from EMC2 is required for the C10 board
to operate
also check your Estop it may need inverting etc
have you done a Latency check ?
are your pins correct etc , with steppers just about any of the preconfigured stepper setups should work
so long as the pins are configured correctly
post your connections to the c10 and your halfile if you still have problems
are you using limit switches at this time or only stepper drives ?

The C10 is really a CNC4PC board and does need the enable to work.
google c10 site:linuxcnc.org for many hits on getting the C10 connected up.

Hi
I was having problems with my C10 and 4030's too, turned out I was using a wrong cable and had +5v running to the enable on the 4030 driver which is not a good thing. I took it off and left the en+ and en- unhooked and now it works. Just a thought hope you get it going.
