reversing motor travel? was created by jhtitan
how do i reverse the travel in a motor in EMC2 without inverting it in the stepper config wiz?
inverting the motor disables my idle current limiting, but my X and Z are traveling backwards.
thanks
Jon

You can put a negative sign on the scale. Not sure you can do that from the stepconf wizard, but editing the ini file directly should be easy.
find [AXIS_0] (X) and [AXIS_2] (Z) and change the sign for SCALE

Alex

You can swap any two stepper wires, too. Then there are no s/w changes.

I found that just changing the motor steps per/rev from 200 to -200 reversed the motors also in the stepper config wizard.
thanks for the help
