Stepconf wizard doesn't respect dual motor axis

I am setting up a Shapeoko with stepper motors. I am using two independent motors and drivers for the Y axis to reduce flexing and bowing. I set up the parallel port so that the Y step/dir signals are being sent to pins 4,5 and 8,9 (the second and fourth drivers). This works fine when actually running-- the motors turn in a coordinated fashion and in the correct direction. The problem is in the "Test this axis" window in the Axis configuration page-- only the first motor turns. This makes testing for optimum velocity and acceleration somewhat more difficult.

Is there a way for "Test this axis" to use all the pins that were assigned on the parallel port setup page?

Never tried that on my duel motor setup.
I normally just edit the velocity and acceleration parameters my ini file and do the testing with g1 moves.
Find the highest and then back then off for safety.
