Jog ok in stepconfig, non continous in Axis 2.6.5 was created by hurco
Hi,
I can continously jog in stepconfig, but when I start Axis and choose X Axis jog continous jog X moves in .200 inch increments with each mouse click. No continous movement. Ideas anyone?

This may seem like a stupid question but, are you holding the mouse button down when you try to jog, or just clicking? (personally I prefer the keyboard arrows to the mouse for jogging)

Actually it's a very good question. I hadn't thought to try the kbd arrows, just to see But yes, I have been holding the left mouse button down.

Holding down a arrow key produces one short jump on the motor shaft, but no continous rotation.

No error messages?
Have you tried setting your default linear speed lower?
"DEFAULT_LINEAR_VELOCITY = .25 - The default velocity for linear jogs, in , machine units per second".

No Change.
I've generated a new stepconfig file, which restored normal operation. I've been compairing both .ini files. Nothing jumps out right now.
