I'm 42 years old

Here is the diagram that I got to set my LongMotors driver DM542A under LinuxCNC with Stepper
I include:

_ Value of one step: 2000ns
_ Hold Direction: 2000ns
_ Setting management: 2000ns

No exact match on the chart, but the nearest size digital one should give an idea.

regards

PS

By which I mean, these are Leadshine knock offs, so you can use their timings as a base

2500
2500
10000
8000

should be a good start, the dir times in particular are always longer and trying to cut them down adds nothing to stepper speed but risks ending up with steppers
that only go in one direction or sometimes do not change direction as required.

Thanks, I know the 542a is an improved version of the 542 but not sure what was improved. They look identical.
