Lathe step config question was created by Davenc
I'm in the process of converting a Grizzly G0602 to cnc and plan on using the hardware kit from BDtools. I want work with inch units in AXIS but his ball screws are metric with 5mm & 4mm leads on the Z and X axis.
Is this going to be a problem with me running the lathe in inch mode exclusively ?
Can I add anything in my ini file so that even though the lathe is configured in metric mode using step config, it will come up in inch mode on my axis screen and calculate everything in inch mode properly.
Thanks,
Dave
