Hello all,
I’ve decided to change mach3 to linuxCNC and i can’t configure it.
I have made all configs except pin «Enable» because I haven’t found it in the list for my PIN_14, I use Russian version and I don’t understand how it was translated. I suppose because of that my motors not running in test mode in config – but they are on break.
When I turn on my CNC, stepper motors have breaks deactivated.
Can anybody show me photo of list for pins with pin Enable on english? And how to change language of linuxCNC to English?

The translations are all here:
github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/blob/master/src/po/ru.po
Does that help?
However, you should be able to simply import the Mach3 XML file directly into Stepconf. Did you try that?
github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/blob/master/src/po/ru.po
#: src/emc/usr_intf/stepconf/stepconf.py:156
msgid "Amplifier Enable"
msgstr "Включить усилитель"

I have imported mach3.xml into linuxcnc but it synchronized not all values I have added them manually. More over I've tried "Amplifier Enable" but it's wasn't running.
I will tried to set dimensions one more time later because my CNC now work on mach3 on other computer.
I have such sets for pins now:
inputs: Outputs
1: - 10: Estop input
2: Y step parport: 0x378
3: Y dir output pinout preset: Sherline
4: Z step
5: Z dir
6: A step
7: A dir
8: X step
9: X dir
14: Amplifier enable
Is something wrong with this configuration?

Is pin 14 active-low, active-high, or charge-pump (ie, does it need to toggle continuously to enable the drive?)

Pin 14 is active hight - it enables drivers to work. It should be continuously toggled.
Very interesting is that when I tune axis in stepconf - drivers for stepper motors are activated but not running no one. And when I turn on emc2 to work on program, I turn on the machine (F1 and F2) but drivers are deactivated.

Try inverting the enable output (there is a check-box next to the pin definition in Stepconf)
The "Test Axis" screen does not do anything to enable/disable the drives, so this points to the drives being actually disabled by LinuxCNC, ie the pin is operating the wrong way.

I have tried this and evrything work OK. But problem was not with Amplifier but with limits - they are not tunded. I have turned them off and currently I work without limits.
Where can I look states of parallel port?

If you are using the Axis GUI then you can use Machine->Halmeter and set up a halmeter for each parport input.
Or you can go to Machine->Show Hal Configuration and use the "Watch" tab then select the parport pins.
Or you can use this: wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Parallel_Port_Tester though hooking that up to a running config is a bit tricky.
