Stepper will not change direction was created by Jorgie
My mill was working fine until I accidentally overwrote my configuration file.
I have created a new configuration. X, Y and Z Steppers move.
However when I test the axis over the +/- 15 mm test run the steppers do not change direction and they keep going in the same direction until they start to drive the table off of the mill.
If I run up LinuxCNC if I issue a Jog command of 0.1mm the motors start to move and don't stop.

It turns out that I managed to get information mixed up when setting each of the axis up.
Instead of 200 steps per revolution I had 320.
Microsteps was set to 3200 rather than 16.
Strangely enough this allowed me to move the motors, but the software could not change the direction.
Possibly because it was trying to move 200 * 3200 steps for each mm

Good catch
there's nothing more frustrating than trying to debug your own work.
