Why two configuration files? was created by gimpo
Just a stupid question: why there are two different configuration files with linuxcnc?
I mean... after running the StepConf Wizard I get a blablabla.conf file. Nevertheless, when I run linuxcnc I use the command linuxcnc /folder/blablabla.ini.
Why?
Also, not all options/parameters are listed in the .ini file. To get the complete configuration one has to look at the .conf file.

The. .conf file is made by stepconf so you can reload all your stepconf choices.
The INI file is used by linuxcnc.

Axis parameters like steps-per-revolution, screw-lead-pitch, micro-steps are not listed in the .ini file. From where linuxcnc pick those values???
