Need help with estop was created by brettw
I have recently built a gattoncnc router. I am using a sainsmart 5 axis breakout board. My estop in is wired and setup in linucnc to pin 10. The other wire is run to the bob ground. I have wired this thing up every way you can think of. The way that I think is correct appears to be right in Linux but none of my axis will physically move. Total Linux newbie here and really could use some help. Thanks

Please Use Halhow (watch) to see the pinstate
net estop_ext <= parport.0.pin-10-in
IF it is set permanent so
net home-all <= parport.0.pin-10-in-not
woudt be the trigger

Do you have 5V via USB and auxiliary supply for your switches connected to the bob?

Hey I am a newbi and after a day of doing the same I found a weird thing.
If i start everything estop on on the linuxcnc it is all ready and when I hit the orange button to move an axis nothing happens. if i check and yes the motors are free.
I tried every thing I can imagine then just 5 mins ago I clicked on the already depressed estop on linuxcnc interface and clunk the driver power the motors and all works.
I checked and it works. hit the estop and all is good. enable the estop and it runs again.
But if I turn it al off and start again nothing till I click on the (greyed out) estop on the PC.
Now this could be just my setup and some other issue but give that a try.
