old stepper motor with DM542A drivers and Raspberrypi 4

Hello,

I'm retrofit an old cnc lathe :

but I can not find best parameters for Step motor controler DM542A(Step Time,...) and my stepper motor. (speed, acceleration...)

I can not used the "test Axis" in stepconf wizard because I use Raspbery PI and not parallel port.

In attached file you have my ini and my hal file.

Can you help me please.

Accel & Max Velocity are a machine by machine thing. Sound & feel help in this respect. I backed my machine down so I had some headroom. From what I remember it could go scary fast.
