HI guys!
I am new to LinuxCnc,
I am having some problems with StepConf Wizard. When i try to test the axis, the motors does not move at all.
I already checked all the wires and apparently every thing is fine. Also on the final page of the stepconf appears a big message in red "Simulator: Hardware will not run". I am thinking both are connected.
Some body could give me a light on this issue?
Thank you all in advance!

On the first or second page of StepConf, untick the "simulated something or another".

In a terminal type: uname -a and report what it returns here...... I don't know if stepconf will work without realtime kernel but your going to need it anyway.

Just for clarity is the box ticked or un-ticked

Hi clive, the box was un-ticked.
I already resolved the problem.
Linux wasnt recognizing the paralel port that i had installed, now everything is working fine!
Thank you for your help!

Ok that's great. It always helps if you post the config files hal and ini from the config folder when asking for help.
