Hello, I am new here and I feel silly asking about this. I am trying to establish Step Time, Step Space, Direction Hold, and Direction setup from the attached

The timing minimums are
DIr Setup 5000 ns
Dir Hold 5000 ns
Step Pulse 2000 ns
Step Space 2000 ns
I would multiply these numbers by 1.5 to guarantee some margin
in the actual Stepconf setup

Thank you. That confirms I understand it at least a little. I really was questioning the Direction Hold.
Can I ask why the 1.5 multiplier for margin?
And can you tell me just for that first page of the Stepconf wizard, what in the ini and Hal files are affected? I have a setup already running with way more conservative values, and I don’t want to use the wizard because of it overwriting. What was going to do is make a test configuration and copy the changes.

Typically those settings are in the .ini file
The 1.5 margin is because those are _minimum_ settings
