Hi!
Yes, I works on this project some time.
1. Kernel 2.6.32 + patch for Timer over FIQ interrupt from Openmoko project. FIQ handler used as STEP DDS and DIR control for 6 axis.
2. EMC 2.2.0 builded in the SIM mode, RTAI is not used. Instead used a dedicated Kernel module to transfer coordinates to FIQ handler via FIFO to avoid kernel delays.
3. Additional EMC2 HAL module to transfer coordinates and GPIO acces via kernel module.

I see you've started a mini RTproccess the timer interrupt FIQ, but I had to create your own controls steppers right?.
Thanks for responding.
I am planning a similar project with an ARM9 400Mhz processor (ATMEL AT91SAM9G45) but my first obstacle on the road is to link the patched kernel for this board with the RTIA.
I'll read some more about FIQ interrupts to see if I can avoid RTIA.
Thanks.
PS: I suck with written English, sorry but continued to use web translators.

I've no experience of that but I have used the mini2440 which they also have on that site:
www.hycshop.com/
Admittedly that's $88 but that includes the LCD screen. The mini2440/micro2440 is a brilliant way to get into ARM9 based Linux
development!
