Of course if you want a later kernel, you could use a pre-release version of Debian Bookworm (V12) which is currently called testing in the debian archives.
This gets you to Kernel 5.15, one behind the latest 5.16 release. BE sure to use the non-free iso

generally the kernels are a few years old
Buster + stretch is 4.19.105 (intial release Oct 2018, current updated Feb 2020 v105)
Bullseye 5.10.84 (initial release Dec 2020, updated Dec 21 v84),

I should have at least one, maybe two PCs to add to my collection. I'll start doing some more experimenting with the PCs I already have and the ones that are coming. I'll update with results and pics of the bios.

I'm hoping for a good latency test this go around. I like to try my luck with getting the stepper to work and possibly move to experimenting with servos. I have a collection of both.
