ARM SOC with DDR RAM all in the same POP package! This should make making dedicated boards for LCNC very easy.
linuxgizmos.com/banana-pi-introduces-sen...ch-sn3680-based-sbc/ waiting for pricing, but another Rpi4 replacement.

given the global community issues of late, are there any of these SBC's using mostly USA or TSMC chips without any China vendors involved ?

Take your pick of evils or bad behaviors to avoid. How about Broadcom, Intel, nvidia or T.I.'s business practices? So far AMD hasn't cheated or lied to me yet.
Amlogic makes ARM SOC's on a couple of boards already mentioned, but good luck getting all the specs to the registers.
Andes Technologies, SiFive, Esperanto Technologies, and Ventana Micro Systems all make RISC-V devices and I believe are either US or Taiwan based.

Did not check, but the gist of it was crippling Linux on new AMD processors.

AMD crippling processors on Linux ? some kind of instruction set issue with compilers ????
they did release a microcode fix for their CPUs, this was the only issue I could find outaide of secure boot trusted bullshit in UEFI hich can be disabled, but will break your Windows install unless you do some things to disable it during install.
can you give some additional details ? I tendnto buy AMD atuff

Pluton
I think that was the code name for it.
I did not bother to check anything, by the time i have to switch i hope ARM or RiscV will take over!
last 3 years i switched to all AMD, my bro and friends also, I have to praise them for giving Intel a long overdue kick in the bu##.
