To compile the component you will need the linuxcnc-dev package.
Exactly which OS, kernel and LinuxCNC version do you need the linuxcnc-dev package for?

My current configuration:
Debian Buster linuxcnc 2.9.1 rt
RTAI: 4.19.195-rtai-amd64
my configuration has a dozen custom components
all compiled under linuxcnc-dev 2.8.4
only one is not accepted by 2.9.1
Andy, if it's too much work I can wait for a full iso rtai version
with Bookworm. I am reassured now that my configuration works
with the possibility of evolving from 2.7.15
thanks again and happy Christmas !
