I renamed this to 'lcnc_logger' and put this on my GitHub page so it does not interfere with the original version:
github.com/Sigma1912/lcnc_logger

Also I added 'motion.digital-out-xx' and 'motion.analog-out-xx' as possible log triggers:

you need to execute 'lcnc_logger.py' with linuxcnc running. This can also be done using a custom mcode as outlined here (note that the file has since been renamed to 'lcnc_logger.py') :
