I think I used the wrong wording and you misunderstand me, look at this topic

which is the second topic in this section the Axis section.
Alt M then release then U then release then enter unhomes for me. Alt M, g, enter does a home all.
So to start your config with just the keyboard, F1, F2, Alt m, g, enter.

I did John that's why I was thanking Tommy.
Maybe my keyboard is different although I don't know why it should be, pushin Alt M only opens up the Machine menu U does nothing.
I still have to scroll down to unhoming by using the arrow keys, better and I am pleased to use it but still not quite shortcut enough to overjoy me.

Well it does seem it is my keyboard. Take out the wireless and plug in an old ps2 and it works as you say.
I would still like to be able to set my own keyboard shortcuts though, maybe one day in the future it could be added.
It certainly won't put me off using Linuxcnc it's the best of all alternatives for me.
