Have a look in the HAL config window to see if any pins have the relative coordinates.
It is quite possible that they don't, as those are "soft" values that only matter to the interpreter.

halui.axis.0.pos-commanded ... pos-feedback .... pos-relative for each axis
and
axis.0.joint-pos-cmd .. joint-pos-fb for each axis
so i'm guessing i can't do relative ? i've tried
halui.axis.0.pos-relative
but no dif.

i found if i use g1 l1 z1 x.125 y.125 its shows the position of axis dro.
(edited) p.s. i don't think it's using the offsets when i use g10. they show in the tool table(what i put in g10 l1 p4)
but don't show while running program. it shows the tool number in the pyvcp offset i made, but zero for offset.
using g43 shows all offsets in the pyvcp panel

here's the latest of my xml file.for those starting out like me. i have to upload it as an .ini file.
but just rename whatever.xml and there ya go. be sure to place in in
the same folder as your axis .ini file. i'm using emc2.4.6 right now and
not sure how far back it goes in emc venisons, so i know it won't
work in all versions. good luck !

in the hal configuration window, i watch xyz's commanded, relative and feedback positions.
aren't they suppose to be different if offset are enabled ? aren't they suppose
to be different some way ? axis view is relative.
in the pic, axis Z is suppose to be zero, as it doesn't move in the file. but the offset is one inch.
isn't it suppose to be zero ?in my hal file for the pyvcp, i'm using
halui.axis.2.pos-relative for z's dro.

in the doc it says
The "image_u32" is the same as "image_bit" except you have essentially an unlimited number of images and you "select" the image by setting the halpin to a integer value with 0 for the first image in the images list and 1 for the second image etc.
where do i add the number ? right now it changes to two images. can't find where
to connect 1 2 3 (oh, i have three images) isn't it suppose to change to image one, then
two ........ each time you click? when it gets to the last image, one more click will
start back to the first image ?
Thanks
kenneth

No, it is supposed to change the image whenever the image select pin changes. That is entirely independent of the clicking of the button.
If you want to cycle through the images then you need external hal components that detect the button press, update a value, and send that value to the image-select pin.
