After finishing the feed override knob issue on my lathe, its now time to get the mpg to work.

So, the MPG Example here, does not count for the mesa 7i76e.

I it alls set in Mode 2, that's also needed for the feedrate override knob if using the analog input.

More here.
Feed-override

I use:
-one MPG wheel
-two selector switches for selecting axis (set for 2 outputs) and other for the scale.(set for 3 outputs) (1mm, 0.1mm and 0.01mm)

mpg is connected to hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.enc0.count ( 17 and 18 )

who can help me out with this?

maybe good thing to know, machine got servo motors.

should this be use full?
mpg from KCJ

That config from KCJ also uses the mpg.comp, so you will also need to download that and compile.

as you are now in the way to get a PRO Linuxcnc you shouidt considder to use your own COMP
as you will be faced to mix up with AND -Or you can also use classic ladder to get the mpg to full work

for standard Hal operation use the Encoder comp
linuxcnc.org/docs/html/man/man9/

BEST is also to get a KEY_switch for manuell and Auto mode maybe also MDI but i never used this

its a bit hard to work at the start but you will fast overcome it
