Servo Spindle motor encoder Mesa 7i76e

Encoder_scale = 4096
Output_scale = 5700 (because of the drive wheel diameter difference 5%)

Directly to the spindle with a timing belt 1:1. (emcoturn 220)

So why the scale of 5700 rather than 4096?

I read ~500 rpm on the rpm barthat show the realtime rpm.

And that is driven by the encoder?

so it runs slower than the givin actual speed in mdi.

And speeds up if you fiddle with the spindle override?

Sounds like something funny with the PID. Are the signs of the numbers going in to the PID correct?

you made me thinking here about the output scale.
sumed that was the scale for the motor. @6000 spindle rpm, the motor does 5700 rpm.

now, i set it back to 6000 and its working again. all that time i assumed that time i assumed that you have to tell linuxcnc what the scale is for the motor.
still, its not perfect. its sounding stable but the rpm bare shows a lot of fluctuating in a view tenths rpm.
in lowest rpm its sound like its searching a bit. using 0-10v. still thinking there is a better way...mBus?

i did a test program with G33 threading. 20mm diameter and 1mm pitch works great!!! whoohooo!!

I tried G76 went okay but not deep enough. something with I thread peek value.
i don`t understand the fuction of that.
I am fanuc (and heidenhain) graduated and never heard of it. I used minor diameter.

some explanation what thread peek is? ( i have read the docu)
