Hi all,

just wondering, as I check on my running machines sometimes from a floor above via camera, whether I could send hal cmds to the running linuxcnc instance via logging into the machine terminal. Tried it, using haltcl, will tell me the rtapi module is not loaded, etc...

Maybe you guys did this already?

Regards,
Daniel

No need for RIP, buildbot will also work, or a normal installation.

By design it is possible to seperate the GUI to another PC on a network. There is a config file somewhere that sets this up which defaults to localhost by default.. I've never played
