1) could you explain what the not.0 & the and2.0 are doing there?
2) to verify: does motion.spindle enable orient.enable, pid.enable, mux2.sel signals? I was a bit unclear on that.

1) the NOT and AND gates are just an interlock between spindle orient and normal spindle function. if spindle orient is set M19 than PID orient signal will take effect. otherwise the spindle is set for normal use.
2) I am not sure about 2 question, however, If SEL pin of MUX2 is true than you are set for orient mode. If false normal spindle mode (this part is controlled by the little logic (TMR,NOT, AND and OR)
Note the spindle control part is user customized (VFD, ServoDrive, simple on/off motor may be gear speed driven...
