I wouldn't mind seeing this happen as well.

CL that comes with LCNC has rungs smaller than the latest CL. Our version of CL is 6 bits tall by 10 bits wide, latest version of CL is 8 bits tall by 12 bits wide. This would allow more I/O per rung.

And it allows you to use your mouse to click and drag to select/copy/move parts of your logic.

But, I'm not near capable enough to help accomplish this, and the guys that are, I'm sure are busy, and have bigger fish to fry than this issue,

There are no recent plans. I did the last conversion - it's alot of work.
Also we have done alot of bug fixing and not all of it got to CL in the form we added it.
and finally the very latest CL has internal changes that IIRC makes it even harder to convert.
There is much newer version that could be added to linuxcnc, I just didn't see improvements big enough to make it seem worth the trouble.

Maybe I will look at it again.

I remember you saying it was a lot of work to get it integrated into linuxcnc, and just wishful thinking on my part,

I know you guys are busy with more pressing things than this,

Those are the only real differences that I have found between the two versions of classicladder.

Maybe it is time to change the ClassicLadder to another SoftPLC?
Example beremiz ( Presentation ) seems OK.

Beremiz looks like a pretty complete package, I have not found the manual or documentation
any links that someone can provide?

Developers Beremiz still hard working.
Beremiz is an integrated development environment for machine automation. It is Free Software, conforming to IEC-61131 among other standards, like this:
Modbus, EtherCAT, CANopen
This project still live.
CL seems die :-(
I hope either will improve, or developers will change it to a newst PLC system.
