I measured L6 +-15 V with respect to 0v and they looked good. I jumped the +15V to the RF & JF terminals. I only jumped it to one because all the RF & JF's are are piggy backed together. I didn't see the LED on or anything else. Nothing smoked so I went ahead and applied the +10 vold battery to Axis on on terminal 8 & 10 and also tried 8 and 9, but nothing seemed to happen. Any more ideas, or see something I might be doing wrong?
Also, do you know if there is some sort of jumper setting or something that I need to hit so the drive can be manually driven verses waiting for the controller?

Well the manual says the the Gestart or servo ready LED monitors the +-15 power
but the may be something else needed or possibly a problem in the drive.
One guess would be the synchronization pulse.
Is the drive wired for external or internal synchronization?
That is, is L5 connected to? (external sync) or are there solder jumpers connecting
points SY to SY1,SY2,SY3 on the control PCB (top middle of control board layout PDF page 19)

I'm very thankful to have your help.
L5 is not connected to anything, nor does is have a jumper on it.
If I need to send it to someone to fix the drive, do you know of someone or a company who could do it?

If L5 is unconnected, the point SY should connect to SY1,SY2,SY3 on the control PCB
(top middle of control board layout PDF page 19) These are the jumpers I referred to

Yes, L5 is completely empty. I know where SY1, SY2, SY3 are, but not sure where you're finding "SY".
So as soon as I find SY, can I connect it to SY1 and then jump it to Sy2 and then Sy3? So this will cause internal synchronization?
Ok, I may have found SY. On page 19, I see SY on the upper middle of the board. There is also SY1, 2, & 3 below it. Is that the one you're talking about?

Yes. For internal sync these should all be jumpered together

So I should probably use a jumper and not solder therm together right... maybe that's a stupid question...

I'm am not advising that you do any changes, just trying to determine the current drive setup
(and why it may not be working)

Alright, I'll see if those are connected together. Got to run across town anyway so I'll check it out.

Just confirmed it, SY, SY1, SY2, SY3 are all soldered together.
