you can verify that hm2_5i25.0.7i77.0.1.analogena toggles
(with halmeter or show hal configuration --> "watch")
If the OPTO is fried it will likely just be always open
you can check safely with an Ohmmeter

I am in the process of doing the same thing except my drives are a bit bigger,25a20 AMC drives, could you point me in the right direction on what relay I should get and what size of diode.
