Yep there's a bug in EMC 2.4.1s HostMot2 firmware loader for PCI9054 based cards: 5I22,5I23 and 4I68
fixed in 2.4.2

sorry, maybe it's a stupid request but I would put all encoder inputs on a port, for example P2. pwm + enable in P3. 5i23 card.
I think a good thing to take separate paths for power drivers and encoder inputs.
I read on this forum that you can change the file. bit but I do not know how to do

There are daughter-cards with 2 or 3 servo drivers and 2 or 4 encoder input conditioners. The pin layouts are designed so that you can just take a single 5-way ribbon from one board to the other.

All the pins from the 5i2x boards are low-current logic anyway.

I know exactly the type of signal coming out from the card.
through the buffer 74ls541+ 2 ir2184 control the H bridge, I did some tests with a board and works well.
that's why if i wanted to use separate connectors for encoder and outputs, encoder inputs to better isolate the noise.
sorry if I write bad, but use the translator :-)

Would splitting the ribbon cable and shielding the individual bundles be a useful half-way step?

I have just remebered that every second wire in the ribbon is a ground/earth/0V so that probably gives fairly good isolation (and should help make what noise there is common-mode)
