How to wire up step/dir

Sorry but the A-Axis is still on the project shelf ½ way done.

Ok, Im just asking because I have managed to find out how to set these drives up for step/dir. Unfortunately, you need the Sanyo Denki handheld remote operator and plug it into the drive to make the changes but it is possible.

The manual mentions on page 7-58 how to change it to position mode and page 7-43 how to change it to step/dir (Sanyo calls it 'code + pulse train')

In any case, I was asking why you'd want them in step/dir mode in the first place if it's possible to run the drives in analog using the 7i77

Easier in S/D mode as X/Y/Z are S/D. I do not have 7i77 only 7i76e + 7i85s

Fair enough. I'm interested to see you getting this PY2 amp going. Update here when you get back to it.
