I have build a co2 laser with chinese controller and cheap glass tube
and am getting far more better results from that you get.
I think your results are unacceptable to be sold and iam saying that because i have sold over 50 portraits in granite.
30x40 portrait about 45mins.
Yes hammering is slow but sauno hammering machines are the best
and produce better results than other similar machines.
The bad of laser is that it needs totally black granite.
Hammering works and in not so black granite.
From these 2 H bridges witch is better?

How can i do raster engraving at constant speed with mesa card ?
Replied by vre on topic drive small dc servos
Linuxcnc CAN do raster engraving provided the gcode.
It can do almost anything any other machine can do. It is a machine controller, not a CAD/CAM !
I use it for raster engraving on many machines as you can clearly see on the link above and on my youtube channel.

PCW Can you make a firmware for me?
for 7I80HD-16 with
3 pwm generators to drive 3 brushed dc servos for XYZ
3 incremental quadrature encoder readers
1 step - dir to drive a stepper for rotary axis
datapainter module to drive an rf co2 synrad (J48-2) (5khz pwm modulation + 5khz tickle signal 1us pulse width)
rest I/O - half inputs half outputs.
Also with what ethernet cards is compatible 7i80hd ?
Thank you.

Hello @vre,
it seem i have a similar if not even the same trotec machine. the date on my pittman motors is 8 days after yours
did you ever get to controlling the inbuilt tube? i'm just starting out researching about this, would like to reuse the laser on a bigger frame for cutting.
thanks,
markus.

Hi @vre,
i also have a similar laser with a broken controller.
I had the same idea as you, using a ruida controller and leadshine dcs810s to retrofit the machine.
Did you finish this project, did everything work?
How are the leadshine servo drivers performing?
Do you have any advice for me?
Thanks in Advance,
Valentin
