I have decided on the following boards
7i76E
7i84
7i85
7i73
What I am trying to figure out now is how to I connect all of these together?
The 7i73 will be in the Control on the front of the machine and the other 3 will be in the main electrical cabinet. I guess I'm just trying to understand what should be connected to what and what cables to use to accomplish that,
I appreciate any help!
Thanks,
7i76E
7i84
7i85
7i73

7I76E --> parallel expansion (P1) --> 7I85 (DB25M-IDC26 cable)
7I85 RS-422 exp port 1 --> 7I84 (CAT5E-X-TB8)
7I85 RS-422 exp port 2 --> 7I73 (CAT5E-X-TB8)
Note that the cable names are Mesa part numbers, but you can make these cables yourself. The 7I85 manual has the instructions for making the cat 5 cables for the 7I84 and 7I73.

Basically buy a CAT5 cable twice as long as you need and cut it in the middle, then connect the wires to the terminal blocks on the 7i85.
(Mesa should make a TB to CAT5 adaptor Though it might be non-trivial as I don't see a PCB-mounted terminal _plug_
