If anyone were to write a layman's configuration walk through for the thcad I for one would most certainly buy them a beer or six.


Well I did write this

But at the time I wrote it, there was a bug on plasmac that prevented me to use it to decode the THCAD settings. Thats now been fixed so I should update the how to. IN te meantime there was quite a good discussion about it on the main plasma thread yseterday. So read from here:

Yes! Your guide is a fantastic resource.

While I did read your thcad info I haven't implemented it yet. Just reading it as a layman I'd say it still raises more questions. Some of which may be beyond the scope of the write up. But I know this isn't the thread for those questions, when I get to that point I'm sure I'll be picking your brain. How much to fly you out to dfw? ;)

I really hope you went with the DM542 drivers! They are around $17 from stepperionline and significantly better than the TB6600.
