Hi there I got question about connection of vfd to Mesa 7i96 and configure it . I got Lg ic5 vfd , on other boards (windows one) I have been using 0-10v and relay. So how I can setup it in Linux cnc plus Mesa 7i96e. I know that there been many of topics but all of them saying something different . Main question is do I have to supply 10v to board first and then Mesa is setting it up between 0-10v and what shall I put to hal file I tried to set-up it by stepconf and when program start there is some error about spindle, when I comment everything about sipndle it starts, all steppers, homes ,limits works just spindle-vfd not . Thanks for all advices . P

hi
the tread saying 7i76e
the post 7i96e

so first what MESA you got

did you read the tread SOLVED
forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...et-pwm-output-solved

you can use this to a simple Filter to get to your 0-10V on the 7i96 1USD see PDF

This browser does not support PDFs. Please download the PDF to view it: Download PDF

the 7i76 provides the 0-10V from board

DID you use the CONFIGuration TOOL

what firmware is loaded 4axis and PWM is needed
