I'm working at connecting a 7i97. The manuel states
I'd also would like to know what is the best way to get the 5V Power. From a separate 5V power supply or 5V from the computers USB? Should it have power before booting the computer or after. Or doesn't it matter?

. On the board it looks like P2 is the screw connection. Is P3 the same connection for solder connection?P3 is the 7I97s 5V power connector. Do not supply any voltage other than 5V to
P3! P3 is a 3.5MM plug-in screw terminal block.

An external 5V supply is best to maintain isolation
of the machine from the PC

I have a question, I fired up my 7i97 for the first time, but I thin I overlooked something I think. The yellow power LED is in but the red DONE LED is on too and the INT LED is blinking. And I think the cr27 slightly flashing too.
I have a 2A USB charger as a power supply connected to T3 and TB4. I wonder if I forgot something or have not enough power.

A 2A power supply would be fine, I suspect your USB supply is not really 2 A (at least from a single socket)

It will run at 4V (just enough for the 3.3V regulator to run)
but needs a low source impedance as there will be power
surges when it starts

thanks yea alert it steered and could trim the voltage down again. but it won't start below 5.2V. the final power supply should have no problem handling it.
