Thanks Pete. The hazards of Banggood. It has thevterminals for differential, and was advertised as such but clearly isn't! Just found the relevant section of the manual. Will change jumpers W2-W4 and give it another go.

Continuing with setting up my new hardware configuration using your tool.
I upgraded the tool with yesterday's version (1.2.4.1 I think).
However I found a few problems:
- There is a coding error in c7i96.py, at line 101:
It reads
subprocess.check_output('musaflash', encoding='UTF-8')
But that should be
subprocess.check_output('mesaflash', encoding='UTF-8')
Result is that the tool doesn't start up.. - When I use multiple "digital out" settings in the outputs, the io.hal generated is not correct. It contains duplicate entries resulting in an error.
For configuration settings on the Output tab:
Output 2: Digital Out 0
Output 3: Digital Out 1
Output 4: Digital Out 2
Output 5: Digital Out 3
It generates
net digital-out-0 motion.digital-out-00 => hm2_7i96.0.ssr.00.out-02
net digital-out-2 motion.digital-out-01 => hm2_7i96.0.ssr.00.out-03
net digital-out-2 motion.digital-out-02 => hm2_7i96.0.ssr.00.out-04
So a duplicate entry, one is missing, and the mapping is not correct?? - Would it be possible to add an entry "gmoccapy" for the GUI option in the display tab?
Thanks a lot,
Frans

I was doing some testing and must have forgot to change the mesaflush back to mesaflash.
I'll fix the DIO in the morning... time for chow. I confirmed the bug and will fix.
Waiting for the smoker to finish I fixed and pushed so grab a fresh copy of the .deb and reinstall.
Thanks for the feedback and testing

John, How do i invert an input with your config tool, specifically the limit switches. I've wired mine up normally closed. Your utility seems to expect normally open.
Weeks of silence from me are the result of having to buy a bigger cabinet, more screened cable and start again (I'd run out of space and it was a mess). I've wired up the 7i85s encoder input to the glass scales and added my 4th axis and an encoder for that. I can see the inputs in the WATCH window in Hal config and they seem to work. Am i right in thinking I can't use your config tool to get the encoders to provide position feedback?
