When I ordered the card I specified the 5i25_7i85s_pmdx132.bit to be loaded.
I installed it in a temporary system and ran:
mesa flash --device 5i25 --readhmid
and the reply was:
BoardName :
FPGA Size: 0 KGates
FPGA Pins: 0
Number of IO Ports: 0
Width of one I/O port: 0
Clock Low frequency: 0.0000 MHz
Clock High frequency: 0.0000 MHz
IDROM Type: 0
Instance Stride 0: 0
Instance Stride 1: 0
Register Stride 0: 0
Register Stride 1: 0
Modules in configuration:
Configuration pin-out:
I try to write the bit file to the board with:
mesa flash --device 5i25 --write 5i25/configs/hostmot2/5i25_7i85s_pmdx132.bit
And I get back:
Checking file... OK
File type: BIT file
Error: Bootsector is invalid
I try
mesa flash --device 5i25 --write --recover 5i25/configs/hostmot2/5i25_7i85s_pmdx132.bit
and I get:
No 5i25 board found
IF I try:
mesa flash --device 6i25 --recover --write 5i25/configs/hostmot2/5i25_7i85s_pmdx132.bit
it goes through the motions of erasing, writing, and verifying, successfully. I then shut the system down, & restart.
then run the --readhmid, with the previous result.
The board seems to be having an identity crisis!
The ethernet port on the motherboard seems to not work with the board installed. Could there be a conflict?
