7I76 output issue

My only spindle control is going to be on off because the spindle is a hand held router controlled through a relay. As far as I know I have set up the spindle in pncconf. Is there something special I need to do to set it up.

If you want to use a field output to drive the relay,
you would set that up in pncconf, something like this:
(output 01 is spindle- on)
 

That is what I did. Is there something else that I need to do?

If you did, you should get a statement like

net spindle-enable => [HMOT](CARD0).7i76.0.0.output-01

in your hal file

If thats is there the 7I76 output01 will turn on when the spindle is enabled

Where in the HAL file will that be. I see a lot of similar things

Normally these would be near the top of the hal file, but in any case
using the editors search function will find it (search for "output-01" for example)
